CamSoda rides Dogecoin bandwagon with crypto-triggered toy vibrations

Adult cam site CamSoda [NSFW] has launched a new service that connects sex toys’ vibration levels to the value of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency.

DOGEcast, the latest in CamSoda’s long line of news cycle-based marketing endeavours, allows you to feed Dogecoin’s live value into a Lovesense sex toy paired with the Lovesense Remote app. The result is vibrations that intensify when the cryptocurrency’s value soars, and subside when it falls.

CamSoda says that the launch was “designed to capitalize on the Dogecoin hysteria”. It comes after the value of the cryptocurrency, launched in 2013 as a canine-based joke by developers, rocketed at the start of 2021.

On January 1, a Dogecoin was worth $0.005; by 21 February the value had risen 956 percent to $0.057.

The rise was fuelled by people snapping up the cryptocurrency, the logo of which features a Shiba Inu dog, while quirky memes about it went viral and Tesla founder Elon Musk tweeted about it, calling it “the people’s crypto”.

CamSoda has also launched services that connect the market values of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin to sex toy vibration levels, following it embracing cryptocurrency for payments back in 2019.

“Since then, investors have been betting big on cryptocurrency to become a more mainstream asset in 2021 and beyond. As this trend continues, with people involved in the cryptocurrencies than ever before – including Dogecoin – we want to provide people with pleasure as they watch their investments fluctuate,” CamSoda’s vice president Daryn Parker said in a statement.

The company’s previous stunts include a service triggering vibration levels in relation to action taking place at the Super Bowl event.

There’s no word on whether Elon Musk has tried out DOGEcast. But he has tweeted an image of Rafiki from The Lion King, with the Tesla chief’s face placed over that of the mandrill, which is holding Simba with the face of the Dogecoin Shiba Inu dog.

In 2020, CamSoda released a product for the Covid-19 era: the CamSoda Semen Zapper. The cock ring and penis sleeve contraption featured a UV light designed to be shone on the wearer’s ejaculate. The release was based on research findings about types of ultraviolet light successfully killing the coronavirus.

The Semen Zapper is yet to become an industry standard item, to our knowledge.
