SEXTECHGUIDE is an independent publication covering the technology of sex — the devices, platforms, apps, and policy reshaping how intimacy and technology meet. We’ve reported on this industry since 2016, back when almost no one covered it seriously, and we hold the work to the same standard as any mainstream technology newsroom.
The sex tech industry deserves serious, independent journalism. This is what that looks like.
What we cover
Our reporting runs across four beats, and everything we publish sits in one of them:
- Reviews — hands-on, independent verdicts on devices, wearables, VR hardware, and app-connected products. Browse the reviews →
- News & regulation — age-verification law, platform and app-store policy, AI, creator platforms, and the business of the industry. Read the latest →
- Privacy — we grade the data practices of the brands we cover from A to E, and explain exactly what each grade means. See the Privacy Index →
- Brands — sourced, structured profiles of the companies behind the products. Explore the brands →
How we test and report
Every review is built on real hands-on testing against a published rubric, and we re-test on a fixed cadence so verdicts don’t quietly go stale. Our privacy grades come from a documented scoring method, not a hunch. Both are public — because a verdict you can’t interrogate isn’t worth much.
Editorial independence & how we’re funded
No brand pays for coverage, a higher score, or a softer verdict — and none ever will. SEXTECHGUIDE is funded by affiliate commissions: when you buy through some of our links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That revenue never decides what we recommend or how we rate it, and we disclose it plainly. Read our full affiliate disclosure →
