Ex-OnlyFans CEO launches Vylit, a ‘topless-only’ adult content subscription platform

A new adult social media and fan subscription platform called Vylit has launched, allowing topless but not fully explicit content and aiming to bridge the gap between OnlyFans and Instagram

Vylit officially launched on Wednesday (April 15, 2026), although new users still need to apply for access on the next wave of platform invites.

The new platform was founded by Amrapali Gan, who was CEO of OnlyFans between December 2021 and July 2023, and entrepreneur Kailey Magder. OnlyFans is currently controlled by a trust following the recent death of Leonid Radvinsky, who bought a majority stake in the platform’s parent company in 2018, a succession situation that, as we’ve covered, has left the platform’s long-term direction genuinely uncertain for creators.

Many adult creators use a subscription platform like OnlyFans to sell explicit content to fans, then X and Instagram to promote themselves and funnel followers to their paid tiers. Vylit is attempting to be more of a ‘one’stop’ space, with an interface designed to look similar to Instagram, including a ‘Glimpses’ function that looks like Instagram’s Stories.

Subs and a ‘digital twin’

Vylit is web-only for now, almost certainly because adult content apps face a well-documented uphill battle complying with App Store and Google Play rules on nudity. You can show breasts and nipples (both male and female) on Vylit, but nothing more explicit than that.

Adult creators can use Vylit similarly to OnlyFans by selling content access to fans, with Vylit taking a 20 percent cut of earnings. That’s the same cut size OnlyFans takes from content sales.

Creators can create an AI ‘digital twin’ on Vylit, by submitting photos of themselves for the AI to train itself on when creating the character. This ‘twin’ can then chat to fans and can be set to “frisky” mode. AI digital twins are used on other subscription content platforms, so while this isn’t a first, it could be attractive to creators with big followings with regards to chat management.

AI content on Vylit needs to be marked as such, for image content as well as ‘digital twin’ chats (OnlyFans requires this too). Some platforms allow creators to set their AI chatbots to talk with fans without disclosing that they are in fact not talking to the real creator, so, Vylit’s transparency will be welcomed by many.

Vylit is for users and creators aged 18 or over only, and requires age verification.

Gan said Vylit was launched to unify the platform experience for adult creators and their fans, and do away with the “fragmentation” of using different platforms for promotion and selling content. “I spent years watching creators build audiences on one platform and monetize on another,” she said. “Vylit brings both together.”

Will the topless-only rule last?

Vylit’s promotional material and website looks high-end and stuffed with Gen Z models, but isn’t particularly racy or sexualized. It seems to be gunning for a ‘cool social media’ image, whereas Vylit’s status as an adults-only platform focusing on fan subs and allowing topless content is surely setting the stage for a male-heavy fan user base and a female-heavy creator base.

Vylit web page grab

Rather than replacing use of social media apps like Instagram altogether, it seems as if Vylit’s goal is to reduce the need for creators to spend time searching for new fans on social media, by making Vylit a more rewardingly searchable space.

There’s definitely potential in that, but by drawing the explicit content line at ‘topless’, how many users will be willing to stump up cash knowing they can get the full main course on rival platforms, including OnlyFans?

Don’t bet against Vylit quietly reassessing that topless-only line within a year or two, especially if creator acquisition stalls and the payment processor situation stays favorable.
