Brussels Porn Film Festival

The Brussels Porn Film Festival (BxlPFF) is an annual Belgian event built around screening alternative, feminist, and queer porn under the banner “Beyond the Male Gaze.” It curates work from independent creators and sex-positive artists making explicit films that look nothing like the mainstream stuff, with an emphasis on diverse bodies, desires, and approaches to filming sex. Alongside the screenings there are workshops, panels, and networking sessions pulling in filmmakers, performers, activists, and audiences. The festival also wades into how technology is reshaping sex and intimacy. As we noted in our coverage of the festival putting sexting, dating apps, and social media center stage, its programming stretches well past the screen into broader questions about consent, representation, and the stigma still attached to sex work. It’s one of the more established sex-positive gatherings in Europe, and one that treats porn as a legitimate art form and industry rather than something to apologize for.
