Sexual Health London is a digital sexual health platform that offers free online STI testing, remote treatment, and contraception services to London residents. Launched in 2018 through a partnership of 31 London local authorities, it delivers NHS-funded sexual health care through a user-friendly online system—you can order tests by post, get results online, and access treatment remotely for things like chlamydia without stepping into a clinic.
The platform has served over 200,000 Londoners since launch and identified more than 12,000 infections, while providing 3,700 remote chlamydia treatments. What’s particularly interesting is that about 20% of new online users in 2019 had never used a sexual health service before, showing how digital access can reach people who might otherwise skip testing altogether. Similar to services like
Zults, Sexual Health London uses technology to make sexual health care more accessible and reduce stigma around STI testing.
The service operates alongside 34 specialist sexual health clinics across London and won a HealthInvestor Award in 2023. It’s run by Chelsea & Westminster NHS Trust in partnership with Lloyds Online Doctor, with the current contract running through August 2026.
