XTube

XTube was one of the internet’s pioneering user-generated adult content platforms, launching in 2006 as essentially the pornographic answer to YouTube. It allowed users to upload, share, and comment on amateur adult videos, building a community-driven alternative to traditional studio-produced porn at a time when that model was still relatively novel. The platform carved out its niche by focusing on amateur content and social features, letting users build profiles, connect with other members, and engage with creators. After 15 years of operation, XTube shut down in September 2021, marking the end of an era for one of the first major tube sites to embrace user-generated adult content.
