We-Vibe has launched a new app-controlled couples vibrator designed to fit between the penis and the vagina, stimulating the penis shaft and clitoris during non-penetrative sex.
The £109 ($129) Shared Touch is, according to We-Vibe, designed for foreplay and slow sex, and marks an evolution from the company’s Touch X vibrator, which was also designed to be “slipped between partners”.
Unlike the Touch X, the new Shared Touch has a flexible open ribbed sleeve-like section for the penis to rub against. The other side of the device has a gently curved section designed to stimulate the clitoris.

We-Vibe has put some explicit line drawings online showing other ways the device can be used, including for oral sex via resourceful use of a chair.
With many couples vibrators having cock ring-style designs, like We-Vibe’s Pivot 2 and Verge 2 devices, the Shared Touch takes a different route, a single pad that sits between partners with a dedicated surface for each of them.
You can control the Shared Touch using two plus and minus vibration intensity buttons on the device, which has ten levels available. The third button on the toy is used to cycle through eight vibration patterns, named Vibrate, Pulse, Wave, Cha-cha, Tease, Ramp, Tempo and Massage.

The device can also be connected to the We-Vibe App for remote sex toy syncing with a partner, or to hand over remote control of the Shared Touch. It’s got a locked travel mode, designed to stop it being accidentally set off in luggage or when approaching mirthless customs officials.
The Shared Touch is 13.8 centimeters in length and can be used for up to one hour between charges. It currently has more online retail presence in Europe than in the US, but has appeared on some US retail sites.
