Gaming studio Blizzard is reportedly cracking down on ‘fan’ made porn videos that feature modified characters based on those from games like Overwatch and Mass Effect.

According to Reddit user ‘spornm‘, he received a DMCA take-down notice on a clip posted to Pornhub a few days ago. The clip contained characters from both games.

It seems that Blizzard isn’t taking action directly, however. Instead, the infringement claims are being brought by a company called Irdeto, which focuses on secure media delivery (DRM and copyright management).

We’ve asked Blizzard if it is indeed behind the take-down actions or whether it has contracted Irdeto to carry out the task and will update here if we hear back.
