HoloGirlsVR review: A strong catalog that suddenly stopped growing

HoloGirlsVR is a good VR porn site, but it stopped uploading new scenes several years ago, which means we can no longer recommend it.

HoloGirlsVR

HoloGirlsVR is one of the larger VR porn sites available at the moment, and as such, you’ll likely see it advertising all over the (adult) Web. As such, we thought it time to put together a HoloGirlsVR review for Android (and iOS) users, although the site offers full VR porn scenes for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive devices too.

Like the other sites we’ve already reviewed, including BaDoinkVR and VirtualRealPorn, HoloGirlsVR brings a wide selection of videos across different categories. It also makes it simple to watch clips that contain specific performers, but early experimentation in formats has left it with a small problem. Check the rest of the HoloGirlsVR review for the full rundown.

Please Note: HoloGirlsVR appears to have stopped uploading new scenes sometime in 2018. Last checked July 2022. We’d recommend checking out any of the other recommended VR sites that regularly provide content and feature updates.

HoloGirlsVR was once a decent VR site, but now there doesn't seem to have been any new content in three years. While this means it's pretty cheap, relatively speaking, it's not really good value, as all the scenes are old, and therefore not up to current quality.

Can combo with BurningAngelVR & LezVR

No content or site updates since 2018

HoloGirlsVR Review: Design and Content

What’s key for a VR porn site is that there are plenty of ways to find the content you’re looking for – you don’t want to waste your time (not to mention your money) on sites that keep you scrolling from page to page without finding what you want.

Thankfully, that’s really where HoloGirlsVR is strongest, and finding your way around the [rwmb_meta meta_key=”vr_site_scn_ttl”] or so scenes can be achieved by searching, navigating by the extensive category listings. Alternatively, you can filter the whole catalog by most recent, highest rated, featured videos or alphabetically. At last count, there’s around [rwmb_meta meta_key=”vr_site_ttl_prfrmr”] performers on the site.

If none of that’s really appropriate and you know exactly which performer you’d like to see, you can also filter by performer list rather than by videos. Video length, star ratings and upload date are all shown within the search result lists.

Once you’ve found a clip to watch, you can click to download it for the appropriate device (in this case the Android 5.0+ option) either directly on your phone or on your computer for transferring later.

Most of the scenes are around 20 minutes or shorter and for generic Android downloads, the file size was around 2GB for many videos.

While finding videos is simple and the platform’s trying a variety of different HD content, that does mean that the quality – and therefore the experience/immersion – can vary pretty wildly too. You can download some demo clips before joining to test that beforehand though.

Some of the features that vary include the angle of capture (some are 220-degree and some are full 360-degree videos) and different (binaural) sound options.

I particularly like that the individual video download page has a ‘Best Viewed’ indicator icon too. Below each video, there’s a gallery of stills and a list of performers in the scene.

There’s no option to stream presented within the platform when you’re viewing it on mobile, so you’ll need a fair amount of space free if you’re going to download multiple videos at once. Downloads are relatively quick, though obviously depend on your own network connection.

Once downloaded, you just need to play it in your VR viewer of choice.

HoloGirlsVR Review: Headset Support & Features

Like the rest of the best VR porn sites, HoloGirlsVR supports all of the major headsets and VR devices currently on the market.

HoloGirlsVR review: Pricing & Features

Rather than rely on heavy short-term introductory discount offers, HoloGirlsVR has a straightforward pricing scheme that sees the lowest possible per-month price at $[rwmb_meta meta_key=”vr_site_lowest_price”].

Currently, $24.95 each month, or annually for $71.40 per year ($5.95 per month), it’s clear that the longer subscription is considerably better value. As HoloGirlsVR is a sister-site to KinkVR, BurningAngelVR and LezVR, there’s also a great value combo bundle that gets you access to all the sites for the equivalent of $14.95 per month.

Subscribers to HoloGirlsVR also get access to Red Light Center 2 beta, but we’re not going into any details on those aspects as they’re entirely different services that deserve their own reviews. Nonetheless, their inclusion is reflected in our score for the overall review value.

  • One month for $17.99
  • One year for $95.88
  • One year access to all sites for $179.40

Payment Methods: Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, Bitcoin

HoloGirlsVR Review: Overall

HoloGirlsVR has a comparably number of videos to sites like BadoinkVR and VirtualRealPorn, but doesn’t quite deliver the same level of polish in the final product.

Admittedly, there’s probably more niche videos at HoloGirlsVR but the hit-and-miss quality of the older uploads mean that a not insignificant amount the catalog is of variable quality – since originally posting this review, many more videos have been added of great quality, so this is no longer a concern.

The lack of a dedicated streaming option within the interface and a relatively high asking price for annual subscription – it’s over $80 more expensive than either of the other options mentioned above – hurt it.
