HoloGirlsVR is one of the larger VR porn sites available at the moment, and as such, you’ll likely see it advertising all over the (adult) Web. As such, we thought it time to put together a HoloGirlsVR review for Android (and iOS) users, although the site offers full VR porn scenes for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive devices too.
Like the other sites we’ve already reviewed, including BaDoinkVR and VirtualRealPorn, HoloGirlsVR brings a wide selection of videos across different categories. It also makes it simple to watch clips that contain specific performers, but early experimentation in formats has left it with a small problem. Check the rest of the HoloGirlsVR review for the full rundown.
HoloGirlsVR Review: Rating
HologirlsVR review: Features
What’s key for a VR porn site is that there are plenty of ways to find the content you’re looking for – you don’t want to waste your time (not to mention your money) on sites that keep you scrolling from page to page without finding what you want.
Thankfully, that’s really where HoloGirlsVR is strongest, and finding your way around the 120 or so (correct at the time of writing) clips can be achieved by searching, navigating by the extensive category listings. Alternatively, you can filter the whole catalog by most recent, highest rated, featured videos or alphabetically.
If none of that’s really appropriate and you know exactly which performer you’d like to see, you can also filter by performer list rather than by videos. Video length, star ratings and upload date are all shown within the search result lists.
Once you’ve found a clip to watch, you can click to download it for the appropriate device (in this case the Android 5.0+ option) either directly on your phone or on your computer for transferring later.
Most of the scenes are around 20 minutes or shorter and for generic Android downloads, the file size was around 2GB for many videos.
While finding videos is simple and the platform’s trying a variety of different HD content, that does mean that the quality – and therefore the experience/immersion – can vary pretty wildly too. You can download some demo clips before joining to test that beforehand though.
Some of the features that vary include the angle of capture (some are 220-degree and some are full 360-degree videos) and different (binaural) sound options.
We particularly like that the individual video download page has a ‘Best Viewed’ indicator icon too. Below each video, there’s a gallery of stills and a list of performers in the scene.
There’s no option to stream presented within the platform when you’re viewing it on mobile, so you’ll need a fair amount of space free if you’re going to download multiple videos at once. Downloads are relatively quick, though obviously depend on your own network connection.
Once downloaded, you just need to play it in your VR viewer of choice.
HoloGirlsVR review: Pricing
Rather than rely on heavy short-term introductory discount offers, HoloGirlsVR has a straightforward pricing scheme.
Currently, $19.99 each month, $53.99 for three-months or $179.99 per year. All of those are recurring memberships that include a free VR headset – and not just a crappy Cardboard-a-like either. If you opt for a rolling monthly plan, you’ll need to pay $3.99 shipping on the headset, otherwise it’s free. You can pay via Bitcoin too, which is nice to have as an option where some people really do demand privacy.
HoloGirlsVR Review: Summary
Admittedly, there’s probably more niche videos at HoloGirlsVR but the hit-and-miss quality of the older uploads mean that a not insignificant amount the catalog is of variable quality. If you stick to only new uploads, you’ll be OK though.
The lack of a dedicated streaming option within the interface and a relatively high asking price for annual subscription – it’s over $80 more expensive than either of the other options mentioned above – hurt it.
There’s lots to like about HoloGirlsVR – but it’s not the absolute best we’ve seen so far.
