DS Doll’s robotic head is now available to reserve for $375… but the final price hasn’t been set

DS Doll Robotics’ first lifelike sex doll head is now available to pre-order from its retailer Cloud Climax.

The distributor is asking for a $375 (£300) deposit for the robotic head, which can’t speak using AI (like Realbotix’s Harmony doll does), but can play back MP4 files and voice recordings. The remainder of the balance – a number that DS Dolls hasn’t yet put a figure on – will be payable upon release.

DS Doll’s robotic head can produce a variety of different facial expressions and is controlled by an app or games controller, and is described on its website as being “ideal for photography and play”

Looking ahead, research for the manufacturer’s second-generation robotic head is currently underway, and promises to provide “more of an AI experience.” While it won’t have automated body movements, the Siri-style second version of the robo head will be able to respond to questions via the internet or from a programmed database. The Chinese version of the voice-controlled software is already completed, with English and Japanese language versions to follow next.

The company has also stated that future versions of the head may be able to replicate oral sex, with a ‘suction’ ability in the works, although this function will not be available on the first gen product.

While the head will work with all DS Dolls, the recently-released Evolution Doll – described as “the ideal match for the robotic head” will fit both the first- and second-generation models.

Retailing at £3,495, the Evolution Doll was released in December 2018, featuring a vagina insert with a depth of 15-16cm. With these dolls, you can choose the hair, skin and eye colour, as well as pubic hair and nail colour styles.

Earlier this month, we reported that distributor and retailer Cloud Climax has released a similar product – Emma – which you can pre-load with responses allowing you to have conversations with the doll.

And DS Dolls announced late last year that it is now 3D printing its sex dolls, meaning the future of sex is looking more robotic than ever.
