Simple Habit ventured into the sexual wellness space when it
added sexual intimacy sessions to its meditation app, offering guided audio content focused on improving connection, arousal, and intimate communication. The platform features curated sessions addressing topics like overcoming sexual anxiety, enhancing pleasure awareness, and deepening emotional intimacy with partners.
Beyond its intimacy-focused content, Simple Habit built its reputation as a 5-minute meditation app designed for busy professionals dealing with stress and burnout. Founded in 2016 by Yunha Kim after her own startup burnout experience, the platform grew to over 4.5 million members worldwide with 2,500+ guided audio sessions. The company later expanded into sleep therapy with its Sleep Reset app, which uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) to help users improve their sleep patterns.
The San Francisco-based company raised $12.8 million from investors including Foundation Capital and Y Combinator, with backing from Silicon Valley CEOs like Dropbox’s Drew Houston. Simple Habit operates on a freemium model with premium access at $11.99/month, sharing revenue with the independent meditation teachers and coaches who create its content.
