Lelo has released a new app-controlled unisex anal vibrating plug, described by the company as ‘medium’-sized and suitable for both beginners and those more experienced with anal sextech play.
The Surfer 2 is a sequel product to Lelo’s original Surfer, which is a prostate massager device. The Surfer 2 sells for $119, so, like most of Lelo’s offerings, is pitched at the higher end of the sextech market.
The physical interface on the Surfer 2 is relatively minimalist, with one control button and one LED light to indicate activity. The device can be set to four different vibration modes via the button, with six vibrations modes available when it’s connected to the Lelo app via Bluetooth.
So, what’s new?
The “all genders” framing isn’t just a marketing flourish, it reflects a real design difference from its predecessor. The original Surfer has a pronounced curved neck engineered specifically for prostate contact; the Surfer 2 has a more symmetrical insertable section, which makes it anatomically usable regardless of gender.
Lelo isn’t alone in making this pivot: several sextech brands have moved toward gender-neutral anal product lines in recent years, partly out of genuine inclusivity and partly because it meaningfully widens the potential customer base. Both things can be true.
Lelo recently launched a feature within the app called Love Bridge, that allows you to connect a Lelo sex toy (including the Surfer 2) to a private chatroom in the app, and have a partner in there control it. You can create a chatroom for this in the app, then send an invitation code to a partner so they can join.
Beyond the six vibration modes, there are eight vibration intensity levels that the Surfer 2 can be set to, ranging from what Lelo calls a “teasing murmur” to a “satisfying pulse”.
Pitched as bigger than a ‘beginner’ training device but not too large, the Surfer 2 is 103 millimeters long at its longest section, and its insertable section is 77 millimeters long. The device weighs around 71 grams.
Lelo says that the Surfer 2 has a sound level of under 63 decibels, which is pretty quiet for a vibrating sextech device. It is waterproof and can be charged up in less than two hours.
Lelo’s other recent launches include the F2S, an app-connected AI penis stroker device, which is aimed at an altogether more tech-inclined audience.
