Adult webcam platform CamSoda [NSFW] has joined forces with teledildonics company Kiiroo to create an experience that combines virtual reality (VR) webcam shows and ‘wearable’ sextech devices.
CamSoda says the new VR platform – launching on August 1 – works with Google Cardboard, Oculus, and Samsung Gear headsets. Coupled with Kiiroo’s synchronized Bluetooth-enabled sex toys, the VR experience aims to make things more immersive with “pressure data” from the webcam model’s vibrator being passed to the male masturbator, which in turn generates “pulsating vibrations” for both users. This, the companies say, creates a realistic experience for both parties.
The release comes just as a US patent (#6,368,268B1) that has been cited in numerous legal challenges nears expiration.
Hassex, Inc., which previously had rights to the patent passed it to Tzu Technologies LLC in 2015. Tzu has subsequently claimed patent violations against a number of companies since acquiring the rights to it, including Comingle, Holland Haptics, Vibease, Internet Service, Frixion, and Winzz. It then withdrew some of these challenges.
