Big name manufacturers might be working to get their phone-less, PC-less VR devices out the door, but as can regularly still be the case, porn got their first with the VRotica headset.
In short, it’s a VR headset that’s designed to be super-simple to use, and that doesn’t require any other device to work. Just put the headset on, and hit play on the pre-loaded content.
With that simplicity, however, there’s an obvious potential restriction – you’ll need to sideload more content via USB stick, or download more from the platform, a spokesperson told SEXTECHGUIDE. We’ll update when we hear back to how much more VR content will cost.
Early partners for content are BadoinkVR (review) and VRCosplayX (review), though we’d expect others to become available in the future.
The headset itself has a headphone jack, pupil and focus adjustment wheels so you can refocus, and a couple of buttons on each side for simple controls that you can operate without needing to take it off.
To start with, it’s only available via Amazon in the US, but it’s also being made available in the UK and Australia. On arrival, there are six videos preloaded onto the $220 headset.
