BDVR: Tina, can you tell fans about the difference between shooting in VR versus standard video?
Tina: “It’s very different and challenging to shoot VR porn scenes versus the usual porn scenes. I’m a very high energy performer and like to move a lot on the set.”
Thanks for bringing that up. Most fans don’t know that we shoot in a tight frame. This makes the male POV scene realistic, and the VR more immersive. Explain a little more about why we do that that for us.
“I have to be in very fixed positions shooting VR porn videos or at least in a fixed filming frame. Being tall (175 cm without heels) doesn’t help either! I can move out of the shooting frame really easily. But I think my male co-partners experience even worse situations here, as VR doesn’t allow us to have any interaction with each other.”
So, if your male scene partner moves his head, viewers lose the POV shot? You are performing just for the fans because the male performer can’t even look at you?
“Exactly! So it’s very manual sex. However, saying that, I learned to adapt to the VR filming style and to enjoy it. I really like the fact that I can look at the camera all the time, talk a lot and do my little show for the viewer.
It really helped me a lot to understand the concept of VR filming style once I had my VR headset on and I saw how it really works from the viewer’s point. It’s a whole different mind blowing, real experience!”
Oh, so you’ve watched your own VR scenes?
“No, I haven’t had a chance to watch myself performing in VR… I have watched someone else’s performance and that felt surreal!
The feeling was so real, that I felt the female performer was sitting right on my lap and giving me a lap dance. I just wanted to touch her and wrap my hands all over around her, as it felt she was so close to me. A very powerful insight indeed!”
Did she work as hard as you do? POV virtual reality shoots seem so strenuous on performers
“Yes, for the female performer for sure, as she has to be always in control and work around her male partner.”
Making these virtual experiences happen is a lot of work for you. When did you fall in love with performing in VR?
“Probably when I shot my first five VR porn scenes and learnt all the technical bits of it.
Now, I just get in a mode and do my show in confidence!”
Now that you have such a strong collection of scenes in VR, do you feel closer to your fans? I mean, you’re literally creating a reality where they’re having sex with you!
“Absolutely! It’s a very personal and close up interaction with viewers.
VR…It’s just a whole new level in entertainment! To be part of the scene, so close to your favourite performers or characters and share the action together. Once you put your VR headset on, you will never want to press a skip button again. And I am proud to be part of delivering excitement to the future of porn!”
Is directing in your future? You’re such an amazing performer, I wonder what one of your scenes would look like?
“If I could have the possibility of directing my own VR porn scene, it would certainly be shot somewhere outdoors. All of my VR scenes have been shot indoors, due to very difficult lighting control and the specific technical camera requirements.
I would love to take my viewers to magical places, like to the tropical beach… Imagine having a VR sex experience with a mermaid of the ocean, ah….”
