The world is getting used to Amazon’s Alexa helping us remember a shopping list or check the weather, but one high-tech legal brothel thinks it can help make porn films as well.
Sin City’s 21st Century brothel, Sheri’s Ranch, is employing voice-operated smart home technology for its new sex tape room.
The legal brothel in Las Vegas has made a 2019 update to the ‘sex menu’ to include their state-of-the-art automated suite where clients and sex workers can use voice-operated technology to create multi-angle porn videos.
Customers can make their own videos and then take them home to enjoy again and again.
Powered by Amazon’s Echo Dot, customers simply need to say ‘Alexa, begin the porn star experience’ before the blinds roll down, lights turn on, and the camera starts rolling.
Dena, the madam of Sheri’s Ranch explained to AVN, “While we endeavor to continue the tradition of featuring a sex menu, it’s important that our offerings genuinely meet the demands of 21st century sex consumers.”
Speaking about the demand for producing private sex tapes, Dena explained to the Sun:
“It’s our most innovative offering yet. No film crew, no post production, just the client and his courtesan-of-choice directing – and starring in – their very own sex tape.
We often get requests to create videos with our clients, but it’s not easy to navigate the logistics, lighting, positions, or best angle while employing our smartphones.
Now, all we have to worry about is having great sex, and the sex tape room takes care of producing the video for us.”
Sheri’s Ranch has seen a steady rise in the number of women and couples visiting the sex resort each year, with 15% of customers in 2014 being women or couples with a female, while that increased to 22% in 2017.
The brothel also recently began offering “sex vacation” packages to appeal to the increasing requests from couples seeking extended stays at the brothels hotel.
Dena also predicted that the new sex tape room would be a big hit with the gadget geeks who make their way to Vegas every year for the CES convention – an event that causes the brothels revenue to spike by nearly 70% while it’s running.
“We like to give our tech-savvy clients something new and special to experience every year,” Dena explained.
It will be interesting to see how CES receives the innovative employment of Alexa for adult film.
