A new piece of ‘sex-positive’ data storage software is set to be launched in August 2022, marketed at adult content creators – and anyone else making intimate content – who is looking for robust cybersecurity.
Amefist bills itself as a ‘digital vault’ that can be downloaded directly to your computer, offering ‘stigma-free, sex-positive cybersecurity’ with the tagline: ‘Keep your personal data sage while creating the content of their dreams’.
The company said it was “bringing sex-positive security tools to intimate creators, the platforms who support them, and anyone who wants to practice safe cyber.”
With leaks and hacks of intimate photos, videos and personal data a regular problem with cloud storage, and having led to some high-profile celebrity photo leak cases, Amefist is marketing itself as a step up from such storage methods.
The Toronto-based company said that its digital vault works by splitting data submitted to a person’s vault into a series of ‘fragmented shadows’ which are then sent to separate locations chosen by the user.
“The data is only readable when those gems of data are brought back together… by you. Even if a hacker gets access to one, the data they receive is still useless. And there’s no chance of revival from – because they need all of the gems plus your authentication in order to recreate the data,” Ashley Smithers, founder and CEO of Amefist told SEXTECHGUIDE.

However secure the device is, it’s likely to be a better bet than the Autoblow Safe – a low-tech solution to security through obscurity, which can fit little more than your finest jewels, so to speak.
