Why?

Lovense has released a new high-end penis masturbator device that’s designed to be clamped to a table or similar surface, so you can use it while stood up.

The Solace is a hefty piece of kit by penis masturbator standards, looking more like a games console or supersized external hard drive than a Fleshlight-style device. It weighs 980g, is 294mm long, and comes packaged with a clamp to attach it to surfaces as standard.

Like other Lovense devices, the Solace’s robotic movements can be controlled by syncing it to a phone with the Lovense Remote app. The device makes a thrusting motion, delivering up to 280 strokes per minute with a maximum stroke depth of 70mm. You can set the stroke depth using the app, as well as the stroke patterns.

The device can also be synced to move in time to porn videos by connecting it via the Android or iOS VibeMate app.

The soft penetrable section of the device is 154mm long with a 25mm-wide hole for entry. It comes as a standard ‘neutral’ version with internal nubs and ridges, or a ‘vagina’ version designed to be tighter and more realistic, which costs $15 more overall.

The Solace’s standard retail price is $398, although Lovense is heavily discounting it around its launch during Black Friday season, and it’s currently $179.00.

Pleasingly, it seems like the Solace should provide plenty of battery life off a single charge, with a claimed up to 12.5 hours’ use from just 100 minutes of charging. Of course, we won’t know if this is accurate until we’ve had a chance to review it ourselves.

Earlier this year Lovense released a ChatGPT-powered ‘pleasure companion’ chatbot function in the company’s remote app, allowing you to create stories and sync sex toy vibrations and patterns as it reads them out.
