xHamster has thrown its support behind a to crowdfund a device designed to stop you getting caught with your pants down, both idiomatically and literally.
The ‘minimeyes’ is a small motion sensor that automatically mutes your computer and hides all open windows when it detects movement, though we’re unsure if you’re pet wandering past in the background you may indeed cause your windows to close repeatedly.
According to the Indiegogo blurb, the system’s made up of two parts (which can be used alone or together). One aspect of that is passive infrared motion sensor, which is effective up to 65 feet runs on a single CR2032 battery. You know, the ones that look like coins. When the little LED on top starts flashing, it’s time to replace the battery.
The second part is the Bluetooth-connected ‘minimeyes’ door sensor, which uses a magnetic connection to sense when a door is opened, thereby triggering your ’emergency shutdown protocol’.
And of course, as it’s 2017, there’s an app to download to control (“arm”) both of these devices too.

Right now, the project’s just launched and still looking to raise the full total of its $96,000 goal. For now, there’s still pledge levels available at $48 for either a branded xHamster version, or a regular non-branded one. Estimated delivery is from November this year, and the xHamster version also includes a flash drive with some preloaded VR porn content too.
As with all crowdfunding projects, it’s the usual advice of ‘buyer beware’, things can and do occasionally go wrong. In this case, prototypes have already been made and it has the affiliate with a successful porn brand, so it probably has a better than average chance of making it.
