Roku has been around for nearly twenty years, before settling on its current business model in 2008 with its first set-top-box. That was specifically for the fledgling Netflix service, but has since expanded to thousands of ‘channels’ (its term for apps) covering a huge range of different subjects… but there’s no porn TV apps on display.
Except that’s not true if you know how to access the ‘Private Channels’!
Although not specifically geared at porn, many studios use these hidden offerings, designed to appeal to beta testers and closed user groups, as a way to offer their streaming porn service to a wider audience – and that means that you can probably access them too.
How to access Roku porn channels
The first thing to remember is that although there’s nothing illegal about adding these channels, they are not officially supported, and Roku will give you a warning about not breaking your device. We’d like to echo that – we haven’t had any problems so far, but that doesn’t mean you can come crying to us if something goes wrong. With that, let’s get going.
Before you start, you’ll need:
- A laptop (ideally) or phone
- A Roku device connected to your TV.
- Some Private Channel codes (below) – either for free or premium sites.
You’ll also need some Roku porn codes. Because these channels don’t officially exist, they also could disappear or change their passcode at any time – we’ll update them here on this page if that happens though.
How to add porn channels to Roku
- Make a note of any channels you want to add from the Roku porn code section below. Each has a code – usually a word – so write that down if necessary.
- Go to Roku.com and log in to your account.
- Find the option to “Add Channel with Code”. Click that, and simply type in the code for the channel you want. For example, for Pornhub, the code is ‘pornhub’ – it’s often that simple.
- Hit Enter and in a few seconds, you should see the channel added to the bottom of your Roku channels list.
It’s that simple – and with a range of channels – free and paid, gay and straight, softcore through to BDSM, there’s something for everyone, and many paid channels offer discounts to new subscribers.
Straight Roku Porn Channels
While there’s a whole lot of free porn available via Roku devices, some of the free channels might still require you to have a free account in order to be able to access the service. Adult Empire Unlimited is a good example of this, with thousands of scenes available – provided you at least have a free account.
