Across November 4 – 6, VRDays Europe will be hosting a series of live-streamed conferences, roundtable discussions and a special exhibit for artist’s projects, all on VR/AR/MR content (virtual reality/augmented reality/mixed reality).

On November 5 at 5pm (CET), Cathline Smoos, VR sexologist and founder of ImbueVR, will be on the ‘Sex and the Pervirtual‘ panel alongside industry leaders and researchers.

Alongside this panel is a fully-packed programme, including talks on the benefits of VR in mental health, education, conferencing, museums, and gaming.

Despite popularity in VR porn, device makers often turn their noses up to the adult side of the tech. Nevertheless, VRDays explains this talk is made “to educate the population of the use of the immersive technology in the domain of sexuality. Not only does it improve sexual experience it also helps in various areas of the healthcare field.”

This event is more poignant than ever in the midst of a pandemic, whereby digital technologies such as VR are increasingly being seen as liberating tools for those in lockdown. While VRDays was previously held in Amsterdam, its sixth anniversary will be completely online for anyone in the world to attend – even for those without a headset.

The event also offers a matchmaking tool for investors to meet new projects. Prices for the event are set at €19 for students, €49 for a ‘Discovery’ pass, €139 for full access, and €239 for a hybrid pass. The most expensive gives you access to all the live streaming conferences, exhibitions, roundtables, networking events, matchmaking, and more.
