Dreamcam runs a VR live streaming platform specifically for adult webcam models. Instead of watching performers on a flat screen, you can experience live cam shows in full VR through headsets like Oculus Quest. They’ve built out features like ultra-low latency streaming so there’s minimal lag, plus a voice-to-text feature that lets you chat hands-free while you’re in VR. The company started in live streaming back in 2015, originally broadcasting sporting and entertainment events. They raised venture capital (somewhere between $5M-$12M) and pivoted into adult VR entertainment, partnering with big cam sites like Stripchat, XhamsterLive, and SexLikeReal.com. Since launching their adult VR platform, they’ve grown to over 2,000 models streaming across 150+ countries, clocking 383,000 hours of content. They’ve been seeing 20% month-over-month growth since 2020 and have teams in 30 locations worldwide. Interestingly, they plan to circle back to mainstream VR streaming once the adult side matures.
