Lovense is launching what it describes as its new flagship AI-assisted male masturbator, the Lovense Solace Pro, which is compatible with VR headsets.
The Solace Pro comes hot on the heels of its recently-released namesake, the Solace, which we described in our review as a “beefy stroker” with strong basic functionality, let down a bit by the effectiveness of its interactive functions.
The new model comprises a penis sleeve alongside an electronic ‘stroker’ section that makes the sleeve move back and forward. With this device, Lovense seemingly seeks to go all-out with interactivity, making it compatible with the Lovense AI Sync browser app.
The app allows you to link your Lovense sextech device to video content – such as online porn – and uses AI to sync the action in the content to your compatible Lovense device. The AI recognises NSFW content, helping it tailor the device’s movements in accordance, and is compatible with smartphones, Windows PCs and Macs.
Lovense has said that the new Solace Pro will also be compatible with VR headsets, including Apple’s Vision Pro headset. Although information about the product is online now and listed on some retail sites, the Solace Pro is set to officially launch in mid-September 2024.
The device will also be compatible with the Lovense Remote app, which allows you to connect your Lovense toy to your phone via Bluetooth, then have someone in a remote location control the device.
The integration of AI to its range of penis strokers, heralded by the new Solace Pro, is a big step forward for Lovense and its interactivity features.
The new device can also be used hands-free, as it comes with a table mount with 180-degrees of motion, Admittedly, when positioned at certain angles, this can make the device look a bit like a CCTV camera – but maybe that’s an extra turn-on for you.
The launch price for the Lovense Solace Pro is $189.
In performance terms, the device can deliver up to 300 strokes per minute, and has eight speed levels. The sleeve section is 180 millimeters long, with the insertable section of the sleeve being 160 millimeters long. The device can accept a maximum penis girth of 155 millimeters, and has a maximum noise level of 63 decibels when in use.
The company says it takes two hours to charge, and can be used for up to 14 hours between charges.
While much of the sex toy sector of the sex tech industry has been historically focused on vulva-based products, penis strokers are having something of a moment. Mainstream media and men’s health outlets are now often covering them, as they gradually become less taboo.
Lovense making its new Solace Pro so focused on being synced with video porn content through AI has the potential to push the sector forward even more. However, the brand does have rivals with popular products.
Kiiroo’s Feel stroker range has done well, and recently welcomed a travel-friendly model to its stable. Lelo’s recently-released F1S V3 stroker comes with headphones for listening to ‘sex moaning’ noises from the device. The Handy, made by Swedish company Ohdoki, has been established as a firm favourite for a few years now too.
