Lelo Enigma Double Sonic review: Clit, G-spot and A-spot vibrator for a pricey multi-dimensional massage

Lelo has risen to prominence as one of the world’s most luxurious sex toy brands and over the years has released many pleasure products that are popular with both reviewers and general users alike.

The brand Lelo recently added the Enigma Double Sonic, a $349 USD ‘triple stimulation vibrator’ – as it targets the clitoris, G-spot and A-spot – to its world-class pleasure product range. Other toys which have a similar designer to the Enigma Double Sonic include the Womanizer Duo, which sits at a lower price point of $219 and there was also Lora DiCarlo’s Osé.

While Lora DiCarlo is no longer trading but worth mentioning as the design and function of the Osé and the Enigma Double Sonic are similar.

The Enigma Double Sonic is the fourth generation of devices of its kind in the Lelo collection. The device has two insertable sections, one designed to pleasure the clitoris and the other to pleasure both the g-spot and A-spot.

The toy came in visually appealing black packaging along with accessories including USB charging cable, packet of Lelo personal lubrication and sleek drawstring stowaway bag. The instruction manual is accessed via QR code which can then be saved down as a PDF file.

This double-motor insertable sex toy is made from body safe silicone and is fully waterproof which means that bath and shower times can become places to enjoy sensual pleasure with this device. However, the charging port is uncovered, so take care not to get liquids inside when cleaning the device.

The science behind the design

The A-spot, medically known as the anterior fornix erogenous zone, is an area deep inside the vagina. It sits around two inches above the g-spot on the anterior vaginal wall positioned between the cervix and the bladder.

The instruction manually says that Enigma Double Sonic needs to be plugged in to charge ahead of first usage. However, I decided to try my luck and press the middle ‘on’ button. It came to life straight away, so I was able to try out my device straight away, which was a bonus.

I opened the pack of personal lubrication and squeezed a little out onto the wide insertable end of the sex toy. The ergonomic design of the toy, where the tip with the motor is the widest part of the insertable section, means that it can slide deep inside the vaginal canal with ease and comfort.

The second motor is built into the body of the toy and is designed so that there is nozzle to encompass the clitoris. This means that without having to make direct contact on the clitoris, the sonic waves offer fast yet gentle clitoral stimulation for immense pleasure.

The Enigma Double Sonic can be used hands free as its shape allows it to be held easily in place with the thighs. There are just three buttons on the toy and these are used to switch it on and toggle through different vibration settings.

There is a separate button to increase the intensity of the vibrations and another one to decrease the intensity of the vibrations. The eight vibrations patterns offer a lot of different sensations and it is a wild ride feeling the external clitoris being stimulated in a different way to the internal vibration patterns of the inserted motor which sends pulses to the A-spot and G-spot.

Unfortunately, you can’t operate G-spot stimulation and clitoral vibration independently. While one mode among the eight turns off either stimulation so you can enjoy the other, an independent option would have given more user control over the stimulation.

I personally found the external vibes to be more pleasurable that the internal sonic pulses and my body responded more to the intense settings vibrating my clitoral area. While it was difficult to tell how the toy was stimulating the different G-spot and A-spot regions inside my vagina, the sonic pulses still felt great.
The toy can be quickly and simply connected to your phone via the Lelo app.

And via the app there are options to use your phone to control the device. It was easy to hold the toy between my legs with my thighs and change some of the settings by tapping on my phone.

Although, I would say that using the app to play would work better with a partner involved. That way, you can give your partner your phone and let them control your pleasure by simply twisting or shaking the phone. I imagine that playing this way allows for even more surprising sensations.

But for a solo session I don’t think it’s worth bringing your phone into play as well, toggling through the setting on the toy via its buttons is simple enough.

Frustratingly, the vibrations are slightly on the buzzy side, which can be problematic for folks who prefer more rumbly sensations. I found that the device’s main flaw was the sound. It whirs and whines like a dentistry tool – I wasn’t expecting it as it’s a weird sound coming from such a premium product.

The Lelo Enigma Double Sonic offers a comprehensive erogenous experience by stimulating the A-spot with deep sonic waves, while simultaneously bringing sonic waves to the clitoris and vibrational sensations to the G-spot.

Having a smooth finish and a flexible neck means this toy locks while leaving the suction mouth directly above the clitoris for contactless sensations.

While on the more expensive end of the sex toy market, this is a very aesthetically pleasing toy that’s easy to use and has a range of different vibration patterns and intensities, which make it an engaging way to enjoy self-pleasure.
