Overall
VRCosplayX makes a lot more sense on an annual subscription than a monthly one, and on that basis, it's well worth considering. Its score is hurt mostly by its relatively small, but fast-growing, collection of clips. There's good variety between the scenes, but right now there's still just 30.

VRCosplayX review: Design and Content

VRCosplayX is run by the same company as BadoinkVR, which is our current top scorer in our VR porn reviews roundup, so our hopes are already pretty high for the quality of the content available.

Obviously, being a niche rather than general VR porn site means that there are fewer videos available to subscribers than with the main BadoinkVR site, for example, but they do tend to be about 10 minutes longer than some of Badoink’s other VR content. However, what makes it special is that the clips are all produced according to requests from members.

In total, there are around 40 videos of about 40 minutes each (correct at time of writing) available to stream or download for the usual lineup of devices: Oculus, Vive, PS4 VR. general Android/iOS devices, Daydream and Gear VR. If you want to go with Badoink’s own video player for downloads and streaming, you’ll want Free VR Player. For our testing, we used VAR’s VR Player Pro, which seemed to give us the best results with a Galaxy S8+. We also tried AAA VR Cinema.

With fewer videos, the lack of filters to navigate them doesn’t matter so much, so you’ll mostly find yourself scrolling through the available clips, rather than jumping to a specific video via a tag. A new scene is added each week though, which means that the available selection is growing just fast enough – some weeks you get two new clips instead.

Dani Jensen in Poison Ivy: Hot and Thorny

The cosplay porn clips are all themed, as you’d expect. So you have titles like Bioshock: XXX Parody, Suicide Squad: A XXX Parody, xXx Men, Dino Crisisand a whole bunch more to explore. If you filter videos by performer, there are currently 33 adult stars on the platform.

From the scenes we viewed, most spend a few minutes at the start making the most of the cosplay theming, but then quickly become much like regular POV VR porn videos. That’s no bad thing, just don’t go expecting any attempt at a story just because there are costumes. Again, that’s probably not a deal breaker for many people though. There is the occasional special effect, like smoke in the Harry Pudder parody.

We went for the high-quality (HQ) options for downloads, which are about on par with those tested at BadoinkVR. We didn’t particularly like the image quality when using the Free VR Player, but other third-party apps gave better results.

HQ downloads of around 40 minutes in length are about 3.5GB per scene, though this obviously varies according to those same factors.

VRCosplayX review: Pricing

Memberships to VRCosplayX come in ‘Rookie‘, ‘The Boss‘, or ‘God‘ packages, with the difference between the latter two being whether you sign up on a month by month basis, or for a full year up-front.

Biting the bullet and paying for a whole year works out far cheaper in the long-run – if you’re a fan of cosplay porn, you’ll probably end up wanting an ongoing subscription either way.

Rookie: This option is a ‘taster’ for the wider catalog. For $1 you get access to a single download for a single day. You can also stream.

The Boss: This is a regular ongoing monthly subscription that rebills at $24.95 each month. (See below for discount details)

God: This is for cosplay addicts that want VR porn all year round. Stumping up for a year up-front cuts the cost a lot – right down to $5.95 per month, making a single total charge of $71.40 each year.

At one or two new scenes being added each week, you can roughly expect the catalog to double in size across the rest of 2017.

We’ve got a link for VRCosplayX to ensure that our readers can try out the service on a rolling monthly basis with a discounted membership. For the first month, you can get access to The Boss level for $14.95 instead of $24.95, which is a 48% discount.

VRCosplayX review: Final thoughts

VRCosplayX is an interesting proposition for anyone that’s happy to actually spend money on VR porn, and when you’re the only site dedicated to VR cosplay porn, then what you have is a largely captive and interested audience. On the downside, there are relatively few videos in comparison to the main BadoinkVR (or rival) sites, but they’re being added regularly enough to keep cosplay fans interested still.

On a more positive note, that means that it’s quick to find something you want to watch and simple to filter by your favorite performer, though each has only been in one scene so far, and the quality of the scenes on the whole is good from a technical perspective.

What you might consider  a disadvantage – indeed, it’s listed as one just above – actually contributes to one of the more compelling reasons to subscribe to VRCosplayX: the price. As there are fewer videos on offer, the annual renewal price is lower than a regular VR porn site, working out at just over $71 for a year.

That’s less than $6 per month, which is how many coffees? Thanks to our VIP offer, even if you just subscribe for a single month and then cancel, it’s still costing less than $15 and there’s no limits on how many scenes you can download. The downside there, of course, is that you won’t get the new scenes in the following months too.

BaDoinkVR
BaDoinkVR
BadoinkVR just about tops the list of our review scores for VR porn sites, but its rivals are pretty close behind!Recent updates deliver better usability, and new content is added regularly. Subscribing on a longer basis offers better value for money than a monthly deal too, and it has something others can't offer in the virtual theater option. On top of all that, memberships also now include access to BadoinkVIP and its catalog of 100,000+ non-VR clips. Read full review

Naughty America VR
Naughty America VR
If you want one subscription with wide-ranging access, this is it. You get access to thousands of non-VR porn videos, 170+ VR scenes and even a dozen of interactive porn scenes that work with teledildonics. It's only let down by no streaming for VR scenes, meaning you have to download but it's not a deal-breaker. Otherwise, it's a smart all-rounder choice.Read full review

Great all-rounder
4
WankzVR
A great all-round option that allows streaming and downloads, and delivers high quality across both. Regular updates and low distortion put it ahead of many, and the option to combine it with a MilfVR subscription adds another point in its favor. Read full review

Combo-bundle available!
5
HoloGirlsVR
HoloGirlsVR is a good VR porn site, but it's not the best we've tested. If the video quality of earlier uploads had been more consistent, it would have scored better. Ultimately, for $20 per month, it's worth considering, but the annual option doesn't feel like great value right now. Read full review
