You might think that VR porn is in itself niche, but with a growing number of adult virtual reality sites available, we are starting to see more sites dedicated to specific niches. One such example is the world of VR cosplay, so we have put together a full VRCosplayX review for you.
VRCosplayX Review: Design and Content
VRCosplayX is run by the same company as BadoinkVR, one of the more established names in VR porn, so our hopes are already pretty high for the quality of the content available.
Obviously, being a niche rather than general VR porn site means that there are fewer videos available to subscribers than with the main BadoinkVR site, for example, but they do tend to be about 10 minutes longer than some of Badoink’s other VR content. However, what makes it special is that the clips are all produced according to requests from members.
In total, there are around 361+ videos of about 40 minutes each (correct at time of writing), available to stream or download on all the major headsets, from a standalone Meta Quest 3 to PC VR rigs and phone-based viewers. VRCosplayX also supports interactive toy sync, pairing scenes with devices from Kiiroo, Lovense, The Handy and Vorze.
Most scenes feature different performers, so there’s not too much overlap among the 255+ or so performers currently in the catalog.
With fewer videos, the lack of filters to navigate them doesn’t matter so much, so you’ll mostly find yourself scrolling through the available clips, rather than jumping to a specific video via a tag. A new scene is added each week though, which means that the available selection is growing just fast enough – some weeks you get two new clips instead, but one is the standard.
The cosplay porn clips are all themed, as you’d expect. So you have titles like Bioshock: XXX Parody, Suicide Squad: A XXX Parody, xXx Men, Dino Crisis, and a whole bunch more to explore.
From the scenes we viewed, most spend a few minutes at the start making the most of the cosplay theming, but then quickly become much like regular POV VR porn videos. That’s no bad thing, just don’t go expecting any attempt at a story just because there are costumes. Again, that’s probably not a deal breaker for many people though. There is the occasional special effect, like smoke in the Harry Pudder parody.
We went for the high-quality (HQ) options for downloads, which are about on par with those tested at BadoinkVR. The downloads looked good through a proper third-party VR player app, which we would recommend over any basic built-in option.
HQ downloads of around 40 minutes in length are about 3.5GB per scene, though this obviously varies according to those same factors.
VRCosplayX Review: Pricing
Biting the bullet and paying for a whole year works out far cheaper in the long-run – if you’re a fan of cosplay porn, you’ll probably end up wanting an ongoing subscription either way.
Pricing & Deals
- Per Month: $9.95
- 12 Months: $69.85
- Lifetime: $299
At one or two new scenes being added each week since 2017, there’s now a good size catalog available for a niche site – with 361 at our last count.
VRCosplayX Review: Discount
We’ve got a link for VRCosplayX to ensure that our readers can try out the service on a rolling monthly basis with a discounted membership. For the first month, you can get access for $9.95 instead of $29.95, which is around 67% off.
VRCosplayX Review: Final Thoughts
VRCosplayX is an interesting proposition in that it’s the only site dedicated to VR cosplay porn, all of which is in high resolution and easy to watch. On the downside, there are relatively few videos in comparison to the main BadoinkVR (or rival) sites, but they’re being added regularly enough to keep cosplay fans interested – at least one new scene is added each week.
On a more positive note, that means that it’s quick to find something you want to watch and simple to filter by your favorite performer, though each has only been in one scene so far, and the quality of the scenes on the whole is good from a technical perspective.
What you might consider a disadvantage – indeed, it’s listed as one just above – actually contributes to one of the more compelling reasons to subscribe to VRCosplayX: the price. As there are fewer videos on offer, the annual renewal price is lower than a regular VR porn site, working out at just under for a year. Every plan also bundles in BaDoinkVIP and its 10,000-plus non-VR videos, and VRCosplayX sits inside BaDoinkVR’s Super Bundle, which rolls in sister sites like 18VR, BabeVR, RealVR and KinkVR for one price.
That’s less than $6 per month, which is how many coffees? Thanks to our VIP offer, even if you just subscribe for a single month and then cancel, it’s still costing less than $15 and there’s no limits on how many scenes you can download. The downside there, of course, is that you won’t get the new scenes in the following months too.
