Some companies offer their office-based employees free coffee and access to ‘chill out rooms’ to help improve their wellbeing, and subsequently their productivity. Stripchat, however, is taking this a step further with the introduction of its self-contained sit-in masturbation booths.

The camming platform announced that it will provide its office staff with what it calls Wank Pods: booths equipped with 4K LED screens, Oculus Quest VR headsets, lotion and tissues. Staff will be able to enclose themselves in the sleek black booths, which resemble large motor racing helmets, and pleasure themselves during 30-minute ‘pod breaks’.

Announcing the Wank Pod plan on its blog, Stripchat said that it had become “super important for companies to boost the office environment for those not working remotely”. It added that the aim of the scheme was to “provide current and attract new employees with a safe, comfortable space” in which to masturbate.

Stripchat [NSFW] is offering other companies the chance to lease the pods for $50,000 for a six-month period, reports The Sun. The company has not said whether ongoing cleaning costs are included in the hire price.

While the Wank Pod move might seem gimmicky, by including a virtual reality (VR) headset they do align with Stripchat’s increased focus on VR porn.

The platform recently introduced a series of features allowing users to interact with camming models via VR more easily. Stripchat now allows VR users to interact with performers natively rather than having to use a third-party app. The platform is also now natively compatible with the Oculus Quest VR headset.

Max Bennett, Vice President of Stripchat, claimed that the move was “opening the door to users all over the world who have been waiting to experience virtual interaction at the highest quality.”

A spokesman for the company told SEXTECHGUIDE that it currently had four Wank Pods throughout its offices, and will “see how things go” before adding more.

Presumably, Stripchat’s HR department signed off on things before they were introduced.
