Anyone that’s read the many VR porn reviews on SEXTECHGUIDE has probably stumbled across the fact that VRBangers regularly sits atop the ‘Editor’s Choice’ section, and that’s for good reason — there are lots of scenes, regular updates, up to 8K quality, and a damn handy app for viewing everything.

However, up until now, that damn handy app had been a bit of a pain to install — it involves using Sidequest (with a developer account) and then sideloading it manually. Now, all you have to do is navigate yourself to the Oculus store and download it directly.

It goes without saying that this is a huge bonus for VRBangers users [very NSFW], as it makes it just one step more convenient to get access to your content whenever you want. The app currently works on the Oculus Quest and Quest 2. Oculus GO has now been given an end of life sunset date, though the app did previously support the headset through sideloading.

Playa app on Oculus Quest

While it might all be good news for users, we have some doubts about how long it’ll be available directly to install on Quest headsets from the Oculus store, as the Facebook-owned company has a strict ‘no porn’ policy on items available on the Oculus Store.

Technically, the app doesn’t host any content at all — it essentially works as a VR dashboard that allows you to stream and download content from a few different sources (i.e. VRBangers-owned sites). It also allows playback of local files stored on your devices too, which is good as it brings additional features to watching in VR.

Nevertheless, as it doesn’t have any other functions, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see it removed in the future.

So perhaps get it while you can, eh?
