Sex toy brand, Lelo, has released the next generation of its Hugo prostate massaging devices, aimed largely at men and couples and featuring two motors designed to stimulate both the inside of the anus and the perineum.
The new Hugo 2 and Hugo 2 Remote devices cost $179 and $219 respectively, and arrive at a time when sextech devices marketed mainly at cis men and people with penises are becoming more common, from penis stroking devices to anal stimulation devices such as those in the Hugo series.
Both of the new devices feature two vibrating appendages, with one designed to go inside the anus and the other to stimulate the perineum at the same time. The Hugo 2 is designed to be controlled with Lelo’s sextech app, while the Hugo 2 Remote comes with a small remote control device.
This Hugo 2 Remote device uses Lelo’s ‘Sensemotion technology’: a movement-controlled system that can increase the intensity of the insertable device’s vibrations by tilting or moving the remote.
The Hugo 2 Remote features eight vibration pattern settings, while the Hugo 2 features 16. They both feature an insertable length of 72 millimeters and can be used for up to one hour between charges.
Lelo says that the new devices create less than 60 decibels of noise, meaning that they shouldn’t be too loud. The company also claimed that these next-generation Hugos feature 20 percent more motor power than the original Hugo, which is still on sale for $141.50.
The firm said that the Hugo was created not only to assist with enhancing anal pleasure but to also help challenge any remaining taboos around it. While much of its target market for the releases comprises men interested in a device for solo use, Lelo said it was also “tailored for couples who’ve got some experience under their belt and are eager to spice things up in their relationship”.
In 2023 Lelo released the Tor 3, a vibrating ring designed to be used by couples during penetrative sex.
