Last week, female-founded sexual wellness company, Vibio, launched a kickstarter campaign for its first smart wearable vibrator. With an estimated delivery date of October 2020, early backers get 25 percent off the retail price.
The device – Ella – comes in ‘Plum’ or ‘Praline’ color, and has two motors for vulva stimulation, specifically targeting the clitoris and vaginal opening.
Discreetly worn in underwear and app compatible, Ella’s patterns, speed and intensity can be controlled locally, or from afar via your smartphone. The user interface also offers an in-built chat feature for couples to communicate long-distance. It’s also made from 100 percent body-safe silicone, is waterproof, and will have a promised two and a half hours’ use from a single charge.
At the time of writing, Vibio has reached just over one third of its £30,000 goal, which it is hoping to achieve before March 5. Vibio says half of the raised funds will be spent on tooling for mass production and the first batch of products. The remaining 50 percent will be used to finalize the MVP (minimum viable product) version of the app. Vibio says it already has the user interface ready to go.
For prospective backers, pledging £1 can get you special offers and updates, £59 will get one Ella, £111 two Ellas and £169 three Ellas. Super early birds and early birds deals have already sold out.
