fake Android porn apps

It’s not news that installing a random porn app onto your Android device introduces a certain element of risk, but with some common sense – and subscribing to awesome sites like ours – you can avoid most of the danger around finding the best Android porn apps.

So to help you out, we’ve put together a list of some Android apps that either trip anti-virus detectors, or have been proven to be outright dangerous one way or another by security researchers.

We’re in no way saying that any of these apps in the lower section are 100% unsafe for you to install, we’ve just run them through virus scanners and decided it’s not worth the risk when there are plenty of genuine Android porn appbs available. Whether you decide to or not is up to you, but we’re not linking to them for obvious reasons.

Fake Android porn apps: Adult Player

Adult Player is an app, like the rest in this list, that promised porn, but instead snapped compromising photos of you and then locked your phone blackmailing you for payment to unlock it. If you see this app available to download, stay well away. It’s confirmed malicious.

Fake Pornhub apps

There’s a genuine Pornhub for Android app available to download but it’s not that surprising to hear that ne’erdowells try to capitalize on the brand’s reach by getting people to install malware-riddled versions of the app, according to security firm ESET.

Potentially malicious porn apps for Android: Install with caution (if at all)

The apps listed below have all been scanned using either the NVISO or VirusTotal online APK scanners. We’ve linked to the results for you to make your own mind up.

MilePics

MilePics is one of the more borderline apps in this section, as it gets a clean bill of health in the VirusTotal scan, except from Qihoo-360, which shows it as a trojan.

Cumbrowse

Cumbrowse, in our judgement, looks less borderline when considering the NVISO scan results. We’re avoiding it.

App4Porn

App4Porn is another that we’d rather just avoid altogether judging from all the nasty trojan names listed on the VirusTotal results.

Free Porn App XO

This one is slightly different to the rest in this list, in that we haven’t downloaded and tested it. But there’s a good reason: the homepage of the app no longer exists, but we have seen it available on third-party download sites. Does it make sense to you that a porn app that is still actively available and worth downloading wouldn’t even have a homepage? Yeah, us neither.
