Despite the impression that the porn industry tries to give, not everyone with a penis has tackle like Ron Jeremy. And equally, not everyone is a size king or queen – many sexual partners want to feel something, rather than being split in twain.

Founded by David Minns, the UK-based site aims to match singles with realistic expectations, allows identification by one of 24 gender options, and wants to break down those societal expectations that the media has been so instrumental in reinforcing.

“There’s pressure on all genders to conform to ideals set by TV, film and even porn. The adult entertainment industry only casts males with well over average-sized penises. In addition, adverts on major porn sites advertise dubious products to increase penis size. All of this makes a man already insecure about his size even more self-conscious,” Minns says.

“Some men are big, some average and some below average. Dinky One lets smaller men date people outside their circle of friends with the safety that everyone using the site is fully aware. Members can focus on shared interests and get on with dating.”

Dinky One points out on its website that many less-endowed men are great lovers because they compensate for their lack of equipment with things like electric foreplay and mindblowing oral sex.

Lest we forget, some men are able to deliver an experience beyond their size anyway. It’s the old ‘it’s the motion in the ocean’ adage.

With nearly 30,000 users already, (including 27 percent female, in case you were cynical enough to believe it was going to be a total chipolata fest) it definitely seems like Minns is on to something in serving a much-derided part of the population towards great sex, and maybe even finding ‘the one’, if that’s what you’re looking for.
