The parent company of the music festival Coachella (or to use its full name the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival) has successfully won a bid to have the domain CoachellaCams.com [still currently NSFW] transferred.

The festival, which has been running since 1999 and takes place in Indio, California, took objection to the domain owner capitalizing on the brand recognition of Coachella for an adult webcam site.

Ruling in Coachella’s favor, the domain is now in the process of being transferred, according to XBiz. But if you go there right now, it still appears to be an affiliate portal that redirects users to LiveJasmin, one of the largest adult cam sites online.

The game of whack-a-domain continues against cybersquatters – and this time without the cybersquatter getting a payoff, which is often the simplest way out of it for companies.
