Earn up to $25k by hacking YouPorn

If you’re a whitehat hacker in need of a new challenge, YouPorn’s new Bug Bounty Program could see you getting a payout of up to $25,000.

The program is being run in conjunction with HackerOne, a platform specifically designed for companies to be able to more easily find vulnerabilities in their platforms and services.

Any porn site that gets hacked and finds user details spread across the Web is going to shed users pretty quickly indeed, so despite the payouts it’s a move that both shows the company as responsible towards its users, and reveals any potential weaknesses, so all in all, $25,000 is pretty good value. That’s the maximum payout though, not the default amount.

“We are, of course, already equipped with an excellent developer and security staff, but vulnerabilities and breaches are ongoing, so it is important to continuously stay as many steps ahead of potential online threats as possible.” Brad Burns, VP of YouPorn says.

In order to be eligible for the reward, researchers will need to be the first to report previously unknown issues via YouPorn’s HackerOne page. The YouPorn security team will then respond within 30 days and issue a fix within 90 days. More critical vulnerabilities will be patched faster than that though.
