Why?

Lovehoney has released a new range of compact sex toys that vibrate in response to music (or indeed any other sounds), rivalling toys like the Lelo Siri 2 and Ohmibod Clube Vibe and Lovense toys via the new VibeMate app.

The Juno range comprises panty vibrator, love egg, cock ring and butt plug devices, with all four products (shown below) selling for $69.99 each.

The sex toys can be connected to a remote control device (supplied with toys), which can then be placed next to a speaker playing music. It then relays the sound patterns to the sex toy, which then vibrates in sync with the music or other sounds.

Each of the four Juno devices uses a bullet vibrator, which is connected to a ring, plug, egg-style case or panty-sitting case, depending on the specific product, making for a sort of modular experience. Each vibrating device can be used for up to 40 minutes between charges: handily, roughly the length of a music album (in case anyone actually listens to albums in full anymore).

The music-synced devices launched on the ‘pop-up’ metaverse space that Lovehoney is running until July 31, 2022, on the Decentraland metaverse platform.

Billed as the “world’s first sexual wellness store in the metaverse”, the sex toy firm’s space offers online shopping for sextech products, displays of erotic non-fungible token (NFT) artwork, plus DJs playing music (handy if you have a Juno product already). To check it out, you will need to consent to marketing emails though, even if you select to view it as a ‘guest’.

In 2021, Lovehoney merged with WOW Tech Group, the company behind the We-Vibe sex toys, to form what was billed as the “world’s largest sexual wellness company”. The new company, Lovehoney Group, valued itself at $1.2 billion.
