Since 2016, we have seen sex tech hackathons pop up across the world – in London, Sydney and New York so far, but on July 1, Berlin will be hosting its first sex tech hackathon courtesy of Sx Tech-on.
This one day symposium, started by Ola Miedzynska, is not just inviting the minds of developers, but all types of creatives, scientists, analysts and managers who may have ideas related to data, augmented reality, VR, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. The goal is to collaborate, devise and pitch products that incorporate these elements of tech to produce new innovative contributions to the sex tech industry.
Located at The Drivery, the hackathon will run from 8am till 6pm. In this time you will register, propose an idea, team up, work on your group project. Once the main tasks are over, you’ll pitch to a judging panel, where there will be a Q&A, and the winners will ultimately be announced.
Spaces at the hackathon are free of charge on an application basis. Alternatively Sx Tech-On offers a Standard ticket for full access to the hackathon pitches and ceremony, as well as entry to the SxTech On conference, exhibition halls, networking area and exclusive after party for €198. ‘The Vision’ pass costs €398, gets you all that, plus masterclasses and presentation slides post-event.
If you’re interested in taking part in the hackathon, you can apply for a free space here.
