MysteryVibe has launched its Tenuto wearable vibrator that sits around the base of a penis, marking the company’s first foray into delivering customizable sextech devices for men.
Sitting around the base of the penis and perineum, the Tenuto has six motors that vibrate the device, leading to “longer, harder, more intense sexual experience”, the company says.
As noted when we first got wind of the new device back at the start of April, MysteryVibe’s drawing on similar principles used in designing its Crescendo vibrator, namely allowing the user to program the location, pattern and intensity of vibrations via the accompanying MysteryApp. There are also controls to operate the Tenuto on the device itself.
While Tenuto’s been designed to bring pleasure to both wearer and partner (if used during intercourse) in various ways, the intention behind it goes a little deeper.
“Tenuto facilitates communication, whether with a partner or with your own body. It isn’t one size fits all. It isn’t built for specific genitalia, or a specific use, like penetration. Everything you do with Tenuto is exploratory, from how you wear it to
the type of vibes you choose. That necessitates questions — does that feel good? what if I tried it this way? — and hopefully leads to better sex,” MysteryVibe says.
Though it was originally developed for men, MysteryVibe notes that it can also be used to turn anything it’s attached to into a vibrator too, so the potential for further exploration isn’t restricted to people with penises. The retail price is set to be $129/£89/€99 but it’s available to pre-order for $85/£55/€65, with that price set to gradually increase over time until it reaches the $129 level. Pre-orders are set to be delivered from August onwards.
