Camsoda’s Semen Zapper claims to reduce COVID-19 spread with UV light

Cam site Camsoda has brought another of its more eccentric sex toy offerings to the table in the form of a semen sanitiser.

Hot on the heels of the vibrating O-seat for cyclists and the Vapegasm app that links your e-cig to a Lovense vibrator, the company is now turning its attention to the current pandemic.

The Camsoda Semen Zapper combines a vibrating cock ring with a penis sleeve, for harder, longer-lasting erections. But the trick comes in the release mechanism.

As soon as the wearer ‘releases’, a powerful UV light, built into the product will zap the fluid. Ultraviolet light has been proven to kill COVID-19 on surfaces, thus rendering it incapable of passing on the virus.

The Semen Zapper can be used for masturbation or sexual intercourse. Daryn Parker, Vice President of CamSoda, says, “I don’t think COVID-19 means the end of sexual pleasure altogether by any means, but I do think it will require some adjustments. Just as facemasks have become commonplace and everyday staples to help stop the spread of this virus, we think the Semen Zapper will be that for the sex industry.”

Just in case that’s a bit subtle for you, he also adds, “rather than have people masturbate into a sock or a tissue and have it laying around the house for other people to potentially come into contact with, we developed the Semen Zapper.”

The device is available for pre-order from today in three colours (Sleek Silver, Arctic White and Camsoda Blue) for $29.99.

The alternative, perhaps, is to not masturbate into a sock or tissue and leave it lying around the house.
