Camming site Stripchat [NSFW] has rolled out a series of improvements to its virtual reality cams, including a voice function that can potentially allow users to go ‘hands-free’ when sending messages to cam models.
In early 2022, the platform made improvements to allow Stripchat VR cams to be used natively in a headset browser, rather than having to use a third-party app.
The new voice recognizer function allows you to dictate messages to cam models, which are then placed in a text field and avoid the need to use a clunky virtual keyboard thereby leaving your hands free for whatever else you might be doing while watching cam girls.
There’s also a new zoom function, allowing you to zoom in and out of live VR cam streams in a way not previously possible. A new volume slider function brings improved sound control, and a new drag’n’drop video stream has been added to allow you to drag a video into your VR headset, designed to be handy if you change position.
Further focus on head position comes in a new positional audio function, which adjusts sound based on the position of the user’s head. If you turn your head to the right during a live VR stream, for example, you’ll hear more sound in your left ear.
With interest in VR porn growing, and some industry watchers believing it will soon be the dominant platform in the online porn industry, Stripchat’s investments in the sector seem canny.
The company has also been plugging its VR porn cams with some pretty effective marketing, including news of the company’s VR ‘wank pods’, complete with tissue supplies, in the offices for staff.
