Why?

As part of our role in calling out all things sextech, we’ve launched a sister-site called SEXTECH.EVENTS. It’ll keep you clued-in on everything from huge international conferences to more intimate local meet-ups.

As we know that no two events are alike, we’re aiming to list a whole range – from those with an academic lens, trade shows, community events, hackathons, right the way through to parties. Everyone likes parties, right?

Whether you want to sit back and enjoy a presentation, or get more stuck into a hands-on workshop, we’re providing a place to find out more about what’s going on around you in the world of sextech.

We’re  a small team (!), so there are just a few events listed for the upcoming months, but we’re adding new ones all the time – and if you want to add your own, you can do that (for free) too.

Once there are a few more events, we’ll list all the categories for easier navigation.

Why did we build SEXTECH.EVENTS?

Whether you take industry valuations of $30.6 billion, or the $52 billion in sex toys sales by 2020, sextech is becoming harder to ignore – try as some tech companies might.

We may have inherited taboos (and patents) around sex that stifle innovation – but that is finally changing, and that shift is being reflected in a wider willingness to host and attend sextech related events.

These sextech events will encourage you to think in new ways, meet like-minded curious people, and expand the community of sextech enthusiasts – reshaping the conversation around sex and technology for the better.

What’s the future of SEXTECH.EVENTS?

That’s really up to you. If it’s useful, we’ll continue to review the features it offers. For example, if you’re interested in hosting your own event and need help handling the ticketing, we can provide a system that lets you manage it all directly within the SEXTECH.EVENTS portal, and check people in using an app and/or QR code. Or one that hooks everything here up to your existing Eventbrite ticketing.

For now though, we’re keeping things simple and just listing events. Let us know if you need those additional functionality though!

Are you interested in sextech? Do you have an event coming up? You can use SEXTECH.EVENTS to publicize it! Simply enter the details and let the world know what you’re all about!
