Audio porn app Bloom has launched a new AI chatbot function, allowing you to receive erotic text and voice messages from characters in the app’s stories.

While filth-talking romantic chatbots are becoming increasingly common, and audio porn apps have been around for a while too, they haven’t often been combined on one platform. It’s a logical step, though, offering increased interactivity with Bloom which, like most audio porn platforms, is largely marketed at women.

The new AI function, called Bloom Chat, was trained with machine learning on the voice actor profiles and scripts already used in the app for its audio stories. They sound pretty seamless and seem to respond logically to requests and discussion, especially when it’s pretty racy.

Bloom can be used free, albeit with access only to a limited amount of audio stories. Unlimited text messaging with Bloom ‘characters’ is free for all members, but you have to be a premium subscriber to receive voice messages. That costs $7.99 a month, which gets you 15 free voice messages per month and the option to buy more.

Pillow talk: Bloom Chat

The app’s makers said that they offered the voice actors that Bloom Chat was trained on different licensing deals, to ensure that they were fairly compensated for their voice work being used for the new function. Many artists and creators have recently criticized AI training techniques for using content without compensating those that created it.

Bloom CE Hannah Albertshauser said: “The interactive side of Bloom chat, really feeling like you are the main focus, is what separates us from video pornography.”

She added: “We believe Bloom Chat can actually help strengthen real-world connections. As our users chat openly with the bots about their sexual desires and fantasies, it strips away the shame and fear many people feel when talking about these things with partners, and helps users practice these conversations before bringing them into the real world.”

Bloom, previously known as Audiodesires, launched in 2020 and rebranded in 2022, alongside adding sync capabilities with some Lovense toys, such as the Exomoon.
