Why?

Lovense has launched a ChatGPT-powered ‘pleasure companion’ chatbot function to its remote app, allowing you to create stories and sync sex toy vibrations and patterns as it reads them out. It can also create new patterns for you, based on your input.

The new ‘Advanced Lovense ChatGPT Pleasure Companion’ is in beta mode, and is free to access in the Lovense Remote app. It promises to “entrust the care of your pleasure to artificial intelligence”.

To use it, you type information into the app function about the kind of story you want created, including information such as location (behind the bike sheds, on a beach, in a seedy motel, etc.) and scenarios. Using ChatGPT, it will then create a story based on your input. The app can then read out the story using an AI voice.

You can just listen to or read the story (which you could basically do just using ChatGPT and a voice app yourself), or have the Pleasure Companion control a Lovense sextech device. The device’s vibration and other movement pleasure functions will be synced to the peaks and troughs of the story flow, intensifying in time with the plot.

“The higher the intensity of the story, the stronger and faster the toy’s reaction will be,” Lovense says. You can also use the new AI features to create new patterns via a text prompt too.

There is one issue with using ChatGPT to power the pleasure companion: the chatbot, created by OpenAI, is programmed to not be able to produce any kind of erotic content. Although some dedicated users sometimes manage to ‘trick’ ChatGPT into producing adult material, loopholes are usually closed quickly by the company.

Still, with many of Lovense’s sextech devices largely designed for solo use, experimenting with a function like this does make sense – if they ever hook it up to a chatbot less prudish than ChatGPT, the vibration intensities could get even higher.
