FeelXVideos review: An interactive porn subscription that might actually make some sense

0

FeelXVideos (NSFW) is a little different to most sites offering interactive porn content, in that it offers only teledildonic scenes – and specifically none in VR. To some people, that’d be a negative, but in terms of the overall landscape of offerings available, it provides a service that sits neatly between rival brands.

Where just a couple of years ago, the choice of teledildonic toys wasn’t a lot to shout about, refinement in the design of the devices like the Kiiroo Titan, Fleshlight Launch, Kiiroo Pearl2 and OhMiBod Fuse (among others) has – along with generally declining prices – made them a more viable option for many people.

Part of the appeal of these toys is the ability to sync with a partner’s device, or give control to someone else entirely (via an app), but many of them also offer the ability to sync in time to on-screen action.

Fleshlight Launch Review

In theory – and experience – this is great. It’s both novel and genuinely enjoyable, but it won’t take long before you wonder where the best place to find interactive porn videos might be… and then you’ll be left wondering. FeelXVideos is one of the answers to that question of where to access interactive scenes, but is it worth the money?

Summary

If there weren’t so few dedicated interactive porn sites for teledildonic toys, FeelXVideos would possibly struggle to garner such a strong recommendation, but the simple fact is, right now, there aren’t many places to find interactive content.

On that basis alone, FeelXVideos’ catalog of compatible scenes is quite the relief on the wallet, in comparison to needing to buy each scene individually from a site like FeelMe.com. The videos just aren’t quite as high-quality – but they’re still far better than most of the interactive scenes you can find on tube streaming sites.

FeelXVideos: Design & Features

    • Kiiroo Pearl / Pearl 2
    • Kiiroo Titan
  • Site Launch Date: December 2015

FeelXVideos very much follows the standard approach for a porn site (and why wouldn’t it?!), in that, after logging in you’re presented with the main members’ landing page with thumbnails of the most recent scenes from a few different categories displayed down the page.

To find an interactive porn scene you want to watch, it’s probably easiest to search by category or just scroll through the ‘latest’ or ‘most popular’ videos. There’s also a search bar if you know exactly what you’re looking for, but sadly the scene categorization doesn’t seem quite right. For example, if you search for ‘oral’, it returns just a single video, which isn’t anywhere close to correct.

FeelXVideos

This means that even if you search or use the category options, you’re not always going to get the results you expected – the exception here is performer names, which worked fine in our testing.

In terms of maximum scene quality, each video tops out at 1080p, which is a bit of a shame in 2018 when many regular (and VR) porn sites offer at least 4K now. Watching on a 4K monitor was still far better quality than watching the interactive scenes available on YouTube though.

And while we’re mentioning VR, don’t go expecting any interactive VR content on the other side of that paywall either, which is actually probably a good thing.

This is because a few places – including individual sites themselves – already offer interactive VR scenes as part of a monthly subscription, but there are fewer places to get non-VR interactive content included with a monthly membership… in fact, the only one that springs to mind right now is Naughty America, which has exactly 12 interactive (non-VR) scenes.

No access to other third-party sites is included with a subscription (which, again, some regular porn sites offer), but this shouldn’t really be a deal-breaker, given how few alternatives there are to FeelXVideos.

In terms of connected sex toy support, FeelXVideos claims support for every interactive device out there, which includes (but isn’t limited to):

  • Fleshlight Launch (review)
  • Kiiroo Onyx / Onyx2 (review)
  • Kiiroo Titan (review)
  • Kiiroo Pearl / Pearl2
  • OhMiBod Fuse

It should also include the Lovense Nora and Max too, but we’re still awaiting confirmation of that.

FeelXVideos: Content

  • Number of Scenes: 498+
  • Includes Interactive VR Scenes: No
  • Max Resolution: 1080P

During the sign-up process, you probably noticed that it said “1,000+” videos that are compatible with interactive devices. See, it says it right here.

FeelXVideos

But what you’ll find when you log in is 498 or so (correct at the time of writing) scenes. We’ve asked for an explanation of this disparity in the number of scenes available.

Putting aside the difference in these numbers, approaching 500 interactive scenes is a pretty damn healthy number to have included in a single subscription anyway. The alternatives are individual purchases on sites like FeelMe or SEXLIKEREAL, or subscriptions to individual Channels on FeelMe, which cost from around $19.95 each (like, for the Wicked Pictures channel, for example), have around 70 scenes or less and rarely get updates.

There is another notable difference between FeelXVideos and its rivals though – there’s nothing higher than 1080p scenes available, and some of the catalog of nearly 500 max out at 720p.

That’s something FeelXVideos will need to improve for the future – what’s the point paying for access if some of the videos aren’t even higher quality than on tube sites.

I’d note that, on the whole though, the selection and quality of scenes on FeelXVideos is better than that of Pornhub’s Interactive section. As noted previously, there’s no VR scenes or bundled access to other sites included in these subscriptions.

A spokesperson told us that “5 – 10” new videos are added each week at the moment, but that the aim is to add around five new scenes each day in the near future.

FeelXVideos: User Experience

FeelXVideos has a pleasingly simple premise. If you want interactive, 2D porn videos, it’s a no-nonsense option that will stop you scouring the net trying to find interactive porn videos. That convenience alone is worth noting.

Yes, the video categorisation and tagging needs improvement, and sure, throw some 4K scenes into the mix too, but at its core FeelXVideos is a solid basis from which the company can grow.

FeelXVideos - Connection

In the top-right of the screen (testing on a desktop), there’s a green or red light indicating whether your device is connected to your phone and website. It’s basically a traffic light that shows whether your toy is ready to use, or still needs connecting.

In our testing, there weren’t any lag issues – which we’d hope not on 1080p videos and a speedy broadband connection – and all the scenes synced well with the content, varying sensation (depending on your device, obviously) appropriately in time with the on-screen action.

It also didn’t really do that slightly annoying thing that some other platforms do either – where if you’re using an interactive toy with content on Pornhub and you click ‘back’ in your browser, the device will often continue with whatever synced content you just closed.

The one slight downside to FeelXVideos is that there’s no download options, so when your subscription ends, you lose access to the videos, which is the same end result as uFeel.tv, albeit via a slightly different method.

FeelXVideos: Pricing

    • 17.50
    first month
  • $34.95 each following month

Pricing for FeelXVideos leaves me a bit torn – on one side, $17.50 for one month’s access to nearly 500 interactive videos is pretty damn good value in comparison to individually purchased titles.

However, there’s no 4K, no downloads – and most annoyingly for anyone that actually does like the site – no option for a longer subscription that costs more up-front but works out cheaper overall, as is the standard in the porn industry.

The result is a first month of $17.50, and each subsequent month at $34.95, which still offers decent value – it’d just be nice to have that annual option.

FeelXVideos: Overall

FeelXVideos isn’t a new site. It launched right back at the end of 2015 – almost ahead of its time in providing interactive content. As a result, there’s a really varied, large catalog of interactive porn scenes that work with a variety of devices.

Now, it just needs a bit of updating to better categorize the videos, introduce higher resolution scenes and offer an annual subscription option to make it a more appealing offer for the long-term.

Even without that though, it’s probably still the best selection in value for money terms anyway due to the sheer volume of scenes.
