VR porn site SexLikeReal (SLR) has used its chroma suit passthrough technology to launch SLR For Women: its first dedicated vertical for VR porn with a female perspective.
SLR For Women has kicked off with a (meaning singular) VR porn video featuring the male porn actor Danny Steele and Alicia Williams. It is designed to be watched via passthrough, having been shot in a chroma room and with the female performer, who provides the first-person perspective, wearing a chroma suit revealing only her genitals for some of the video.
While the vast majority of VR porn is shot from a male performer’s perspective, female-perspective VR porn is readily available from various sites. The launch of SLR For Women is significant, however, as SLR is known for its passthrough innovations and for building a highly-engaged user base that regularly gives feedback to the site.
The site may not be anticipating an enormous early rush of female subscribers to the site, as currently (as of January 25, 2025) the Steele video is the only one live on the page, despite being posted over two weeks before. You have to subscribe to the site to access the full video. SLR is expected to launch new female-perspective videos soon, and put a call-out for users to suggest scripts for scene inspiration.
An SLR spokesperson said the company was “shifting the traditional dynamics” of VR porn with the new launch. “We’re also inviting script submissions and ideas from our female users, so they can live out their fantasies in fully immersive VR. The best will be produced as a POV [point of view] VR scene by our top production team,” they added.
SLR makes passthrough videos using chroma technology, but has also launched AI functions that can turn non-chroma-shot videos into passthrough VR porn videos.
Last year the site launched what it called the ‘world’s first’ augmented reality cam rooms, focused on AR technology for live cam performers.
Whether or not SLR will put the required resources towards its new female POV section remains to be seen, as at the time of writing only a single scene remains in its ‘library’, more than three weeks after launch.
