Why?

High-end sextech company Lelo has announced the launch of its latest app-connected dual vibrator device: the Ida Wave.

The new twin-motor device is a sequel to Lelo’s original Ida model, and joins the likes of 2021’s Ina Wave 2 and the Enigma Cruise in the company’s dual vibrator range. Aimed firmly at the luxury end of the market, the new Ida Wave is being sold for $189 in the US, and £179 in the UK.

The Ida Wave’s two motors each control a section of the device designed to stimulate the clitoris or the g-spot, using a motion designed to be similar to that of a massaging, rotating finger.

It comes with four pre-programmed vibration settings, and you can add more by connecting the device to your phone and Lelo’s Android or iPhone app. As is the case for other new Lelo Bluetooth-enabled sex toys, the Ida Wave’s settings can be controlled remotely by using the app, either by you or a partner you’ve allowed to access the app.

The device can be used for up to two hours between charges. Made from body-safe silicone and ABS plastic, it is 93mm long at its longest section and weighs 102g.

The release of the Ida Wave adds to the flurry of new product launches Lelo has undertaken recently. Other recent Lelo releases include the aforementioned $219 Enigma Cruise vibrator, which introduced a motor intensity ‘cruise control’ function to stop the device losing power when it was pushed hard against skin or another surface.

Lelo recently updated its Tiani couples vibrator device range by launching the Tiani Duo, designed to stimulate both the penis and clitoris during sex.

Also this year Lelo collaborated with fashion brand Diesel, releasing a series of sex toys featuring branding from the clothes company.
