VR porn site [very, very NSFW] SexLikeReal (SLR) has launched a new browser-based feature that allows VR cam performers to remotely control site users’ interactive sex toys via Bluetooth.
The new feature, somewhat logically, is called Control My Sex Toy (CMST) and was rolled out at the end of July. Currently CMST is only available with a couple of specific SLR VR live cam performers, so being able to use it depends on whether either of them are streaming when you log on.
While the site has not revealed further rollout plans, it wouldn’t be surprising to see CMST become more common among further SLR cammers, should it prove to be popular. SLR is known for consistently introducing new innovations to its VR porn services, and reacting to feedback on the site’s lively user forum.
To use CMST, you need to log in to SLR on a web browser that supports Bluetooth. For Android and Mac OS, this can be the Chrome browser. For Windows, this can be the Chrome or Edge browser. iOS browsers do not support Bluetooth, meaning you can’t use CMST through iPhones.
You then connect your remote-controlled sex toy to the web browser via Bluetooth. SLR says that The Handy and Kiiroo penis stroker sextech devices are among those compatible with the feature. The site said that its servers “can support hundreds of models serving thousands of users simultaneously with no loss in latency”.
Once you’re connected, you need to log on to the pages of the SLR porn cammers who currently support CMST. As the feature was launched, this was just two cam pages: those run by the performers with usernames Annemanifique (pictured above, albeit when offline) and Abby_Dreams. Once you’ve joined one of these two performers’ live streaming sessions, you can press the ‘Connect toy’ button in the browser, which then allows the model to control your device. Annemanifique was also the first model to use SLR’s VR live cam AR passthrough, too. Passthrough is an augmented reality effect that makes objects in the ‘virtual’ world appear as if they are in your ‘real world’ vision.
Of course, if you want to use the new feature, you’re going to need to spend some real-world money buying tokens, with which you can then tip the model.
Cam performers controlling users’ sex toys remotely isn’t new in the camming world, but it is a relatively new development in the VR niche within camming. It’s more common in porn cam streams for users to remotely control cam performers’ sex toys, rather than vice-versa.
SLR is also working on its own haptic interactive stroker toy, which is pencilled in to launch in 2025, following delays in its design. When released it will, no doubt, be fully compatible with all SLR’s haptic functions, such as CMST.
