Priced at $69, finger vibrator Rev is the newest of OhMiBod’s Lovelife collection, designed with an older population and people with mobility issues in mind.
After conducting focus groups held in retirement communities, OhMiBod spent two years developing a lightweight product for anyone who may struggle with grip.
Similar to the Fin finger vibrator by Dame, Rev is worn on the hand during sexual play. However, it’s much larger in size and has a single large button, making it easier for people with dexterity challenges. There are five vibrating preset pulsations; Fin has three. It also offers a manual printed in larger font for people with visual impairment.
“National studies and our own focus group testing have shown that older people, particularly those who are post-menopausal or experiencing erectile dysfunction, use sex toys to keep intimacy and orgasm in play.”
OhMiBod’s co-founder, Suki Dunham, explains that sexuality among the older generation is still taboo. Even though 65% of 65-80 year olds are still interested in sex, sexual health manufacturers tend not to target this end of the market. Up to now, OhMiBod would also have been on that list.
The Rev is available to buy now directly from OhMiBod’s Lovelife-branded website.
